Christian Education at St. Luke

On Sundays, the Education hour between services, from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Classes for young people begin at age 2 (the students and their parents attend class together) and continue through high school.

Adult classes, with topics and types of studies that vary throughout the year, meet both during the education hour and throughout the week.
Making Sense of Scripture begins on September 19 during the Education Hour.  Taken from David Lose’s book of the same title, this course is a dialogue that encourages class participants to bring their questions or doubts to the table when reading Scripture. During this conversation, there are different opportunities for the reader to interact with the Bible.
Another class takes a book-by-book walk through the Bible on Thursday mornings at 11:00.

Crash Course

This fall Crash Course will be returning with a new date and time. On Wednesday, September 22 at both 1:30pm and 7pm our topic will be "Cloudy With a Chance of Cataclysmic Flooding (and other stories from Genesis 1-12)". In Crash Courses we present as much information as possible in two hours on the given topic and then send you on your way with additional resources for further study. It is a whirlwind of learning!!

Try Diakonia This Fall

Looking for an In Depth Learning and Faith

Formation Experience?

Try Diakonia! Diakonia emphasizes the baptismal vocation of all Christians to serve. Participants come from a variety of congregations across our Synod. The Diakonia curriculum consists of 12 courses, six per academic year. Each course is 5 session sin length, and meets weekly for 3 hour sessions. Weekly assignments and reading reflect the twin purposes of relating subject matter to the students’ context of life and ministry (family, parish, neighborhood), and of giving a solid background to the topic. Students work at their own level, and assignments reflect the understandings that students are already busy people!!! Typically students average approximately two to five hours of studies per week in addition to class time.
