Prayer Vigil

Prayer Vigil

Following the Maundy Thursday service, a 24-hour prayer vigil will begin. All are welcome to sign up for an hour of time in the sanctuary to experience several stations with music, devotional materials, our prayer labyrinth and quiet. The vigil will conclude at the start of our Good Friday service.  We need at least one person - prefer two - and would welcome more for each hour. There are two "slots" for each hour to make sure the times are covered. Once filled, there is room in the sanctuary for as many as wish to pray for an hour.  Sign up details coming soon…

Toolbox of Faith: Gifts of Hope

Christmas is a season for giving! As our Toolbox of Faith series concludes, we will have the chance to explore alternative ways to give while making a difference.  We will also hear from Pastor Fritz Fowler from University Lutheran Church of Philadelphia, which organizes Feast Incarnate, a weekly hospitality ministry providing a meal for those in need, including those affected by HIV and AIDS. The organization employs the help of volunteers from around the region, including many local congregations, who help prepare meals, greet visitors, serve food, and clean up every week. Feast Incarnate is one of the many great places to make a difference this holiday season.

Junior Youth Gathering

Confirmation students are going to the Junior Youth Gathering (JYG) at Tel Hai Camp! JYG is SEPA’s cornerstone Confirmation Retreat, and you won’t want to miss this year as we learn about the Kingdom of God through the lens of the Lord’s Prayer! We will explore how we too can live out the prayer each day that God’s Kingdom may come on Earth “as it is in Heaven”. This year, our retreat will include more time to build friendships, as well as fun new activities! Open to ALL youth in Grades 6-9! Spark students will carpool from Saint Luke at 9:00 am on Saturday and return during 10:30 am worship on Sunday.
