Fall Food Drive

During the season of Thanksgiving, we will collect non-perishable food and cleaning items for our local food pantry. Cereal, granola bars, crackers, mayo, ketchup, mustard, juice boxes, oatmeal, paper goods, toothbrushes, toothpaste are especially needed. If you’re able to provide these for one of the 125 families served each month by the Great Valley Food Cupboard, please drop them off in the box outside Schlack Hall before November 18th.

All ages are encouraged to join us for a special intergenerational faith experience. Gather with us during Education Hour for a shared faith experience for all generations. This interactive experience is sure to be enjoyed by all.

Sunday School classes (Pre-K through Confirmation) will be participating in the Kind Hearts experience. Parents and other adults are encouraged to participate alongside children.

Toolbox of Faith: Gifts of Hope

Christmas is a season for giving! As our Toolbox of Faith series concludes, we will have the chance to explore alternative ways to give while making a difference.  We will also hear from Pastor Fritz Fowler from University Lutheran Church of Philadelphia, which organizes Feast Incarnate, a weekly hospitality ministry providing a meal for those in need, including those affected by HIV and AIDS. The organization employs the help of volunteers from around the region, including many local congregations, who help prepare meals, greet visitors, serve food, and clean up every week. Feast Incarnate is one of the many great places to make a difference this holiday season.

The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear! Spread some holiday cheer with Saint Luke as we visit people living at Devereux to sing. Appalachia Service Project

Students in 8th-12th grade, along with adults, will spend a week in West Virginia putting their faith into action, making homes warmer, safer and drier. As we work side-by-side, we will forge strong friendships, lives will be changed, and we will learn from our neighbors in Appalachia. Junior Youth Gathering

Confirmation students are going to the Junior Youth Gathering (JYG) at Tel Hai Camp! JYG is SEPA’s cornerstone Confirmation Retreat, and you won’t want to miss this year as we learn about the Kingdom of God through the lens of the Lord’s Prayer! We will explore how we too can live out the prayer each day that God’s Kingdom may come on Earth “as it is in Heaven”. This year, our retreat will include more time to build friendships, as well as fun new activities! Open to ALL youth in Grades 6-9! Spark students will carpool from Saint Luke at 9:00 am on Saturday and return during 10:30 am worship on Sunday.

Feeding Thousands

Feeding Thousands

Working together, we can feed thousands! Get together with friends, family, coworkers, etc to form a team of 10-12 people. Teams pledge to raise funds so that meal ingredients can be purchased. Groups will be given scheduling preference based upon the date funds are submitted. Once you are scheduled, plan to arrive with your team, pack as many meals as you can, and change the world!  Time slots are 60 minutes long; volunteers invited and encouraged to sign up for multiple hours. Keep in mind that volunteers need to arrive 20 minutes prior to their time slot for registration and training. All ages are welcome.

Join us as we serve the Welcome Church, a church without walls for homeless people in Philadelphia. There are many ways to help! If you'd like to donate supplies, please check out our shopping list in the Narthex and return donations by Oct. 7th. You can also contribute financially towards the to-go Wawa coffee's we share by placing your donation in the offering with "Welcome Church" in the memo or dropping it off at the church offices. A group will be bringing donations to The Welcome Church on Oct. 7th.

Feeding Thousands Pizza Fundraiser

Enjoy a meal while helping make the biggest difference possible at Feeding Thousands. Eat at California Pizza Kitchen (King of Prussia Mall) on Thursday, September 27 and 20% of your check will be donated to Feeding Thousands. Customers must present a flyer to their server to participate. Flyers available at Saint Luke and online to share with others. Volunteers are also needed on September 26 to staff a display table outside the restaurant to increase support.

Families will get to experience a morning of free family fun! Come enjoy a free cereal buffet with delicious toppings, balloon animals, music, and a back to school photo booth. Young Adults Serving

Join us to share food, drinks, conversation, and personal care kits with worshipers at the Welcome Church, a church without walls for homeless brothers and sisters. If you can't join us on August 26, all donations are welcome. We'll meet in the Saint Luke parking lot at 12:45pm; At the Welcome Church, we'll prepare our table of food and invite people in the nearby area to worship; and then, we'll worship and enjoy coffee and conversation together. Expect to return to Saint Luke around 5:30pm. Please email Madison Miller (madisonmiller264@gmail.com) by August 20 for more information about how to sign-up to attend and donate supplies.
