Feeding Thousands

Working together, we can feed thousands. Over the past year, we have packaged 104,000 meals during two Feeding Thousands events! Packaged meals are distributed through the Chester County Food Bank.

Get together with friends, family, coworkers, etc to form a team of 10-12 people. Once you have your team, let us know your pledge of funds and estimated number of volunteers for the event. Plan to submit your funds online by Feb. 15 so that meal ingredients can be purchased. Groups will be given scheduling preference based upon the date funds are submitted. Once you are scheduled, plan to arrive with your team, pack as many meals as you can, and change the world!

We need volunteers to sign up in advance for specific time slots and jobs. We want to make sure that every volunteer has a role to play and that we have enough people available throughout the event. Time slots are 60 minutes long; volunteers invited and encouraged to sign up for multiple hours. Keep in mind that volunteers need to arrive 20 minutes prior to their time slot for registration and training. All ages are welcome.

The Third World Down the Street

In a joint project between Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod, the Seminarians Action Alert Network, and congregations like ours are collecting large zip lock bags with the most common items that someone experiencing homelessness would need for daily survival. In the narthex you will see a basket of eggs and attached to each egg is a shopping item needed for the homeless kits. Choose one, purchase the items on the tag and put them in the collection box by Palm Sunday. Our youth will then assemble the kits and add notes of encouragement.
