  • Mission Statement

To know, love and serve Christ

    Vision Statements

    As God’s people in Christ:

    • We will offer diverse Christ-centered worship services reflecting our Lutheran heritage.

    • We will be a Christ-centered family of faith that reaches out to all people, welcomes them with joy, and invites and enables them to participate in our ministries. We will especially seek out the unchurched in our community and those members who are missing from our midst.

    • We will celebrate the love and grace of God by sustaining vibrant educational ministries to include children, confirmands, youth, adults and new members.

    • We will be a supportive Christian community where we nurture each other in our spiritual growth and daily lives through prayer, fellowship, trust and service.

    • We will provide strong, focused social ministry programs locally, nationally, and globally and will encourage all members to utilize their time and talents to support these social ministries.

    • We will provide youth ministries to our congregation and the community that engage the youth and enable them to know and share God’s grace by strengthening their relationship with him and with each other.

    • We will offer a strong ministry of music where the musical talents of all ages within the congregation are encouraged, nurtured and utilized.

    • We will share our financial resources with the synod for its missions and the wider mission of the ELCA.

    • We will foster a fellowship of warmth and acceptance and provide opportunities for intergenerational and interchurch involvement in worship, education, service and social events.

    • We will encourage our pastoral and lay leadership to be Christ-like and, like Him, servant-leaders who nurture and enable members to grow in their faith. We will support and care for our staff. Opportunities will be provided to train these leaders for their service.

    • We will foster open and regular communication among the Council, committees, Church staff and congregation as well as prospective members by using various means of information sharing, both in traditional forms and by optimizing our website and other electronic formats.

    • We will preserve and protect all of our financial, physical space and human resources to support the mission of the church.

    • We will all be responsible and accountable for the ministry and mission of the congregation.
