THANK YOU for your good will and calming spirit as we meet the challenges of Winter! We’ve had a lot of it and we’ve had it all: : Snow, Ice, Cold. First, we try to be prudent with our use of energy, so sometimes our spaces have been cool. We’ve had a couple of mornings when the systems didn’t work, and we’ve weathered those. Keep up your prayers and Think Spring!
And here is how Saint Luke responds in case of snow Saturday into Sunday morning;
IF there is more than 2 inches of snow during the night, Main Line Turf will come, early, and plow & salt the parking lot. BUT, Saint Luke is responsible for clearing the side walks. We have a snow blower, shovels and salt. HELP would be appreciated!
IF we have less than 2 inches of snow, then we are on our own AND we really need your help! Whatever you decide, you will need to wear appropriate foot wear and cross the parking lot CAREFULLY!
If YOU see that there is a weather created problem and want to help, please come early (7:30ish a.m.) to lend a hand in clearing, or (8:00ish a.m.) to lend an arm to those crossing the lot. DO, Please, Come! There will be HOT coffee and WARM Gratitude.
In case of bad weather, we will put information on:
· the Saint Luke web site: saintlukedevon.org
· the Calling Post, the phone system that calls everyone on the list. (if you didn’t get a call in December, give the office a call and we’ll check the list), and
· the answering machine at Saint Luke. 610-688-0122
Our objective is to have services, but please stay home if you are not comfortable with the conditions. The worship service is available on the web site by podcast. Prayer is always encouraged at home or away. Thanks for your support.
