August’s book is Go as a River by Shelley Read. This is a story of a young woman in the 1940’s living in the wilderness and eventual flooding in the area by a new reservoir.
In September, we’ll discuss Buckeye by Patrick Ryan. Heartfelt and at times harrowing, Buckeye is both an absorbing portrait of an American past and a sympathetic exploration of what continues to sustain us – and to plague us.
