Students age 12+ are going to Gemma Services to play games and lead activities with children! Many of the children at Gemma Services have been through significant trauma. Being able to have positive experiences with big kids and adults from a local church shows them that people and God care. We will meet at Saint Luke at 12 noon and return by 4:00pm. Activities with the children will occur from 1:30-3:00pm. We will stop for lunch on our way to Gemma. Adult volunteers are also needed.

Zoom

Each month, we provide a meal at University Lutheran Church in Philadelphia, extending hospitality and hope to those experiencing food insecurity in the West Philly community—a tradition of care that has spanned decades. Your support is vital to this ministry, and we invite you to help by donating items for the meal. Please bring your donations to the Saint Luke kitchen by noon on the first Tuesday of the month and label them for "Feast Incarnate."

We need the following items:

• Large rectangular boxes of salad mix

• Bags of shredded carrots

• Containers of cherry or grape tomatoes

• Cucumbers (whole is fine—they'll be diced at the church)

• Cookies, bars, cake, or brownies (store-bought or homemade)

We aim to provide two dessert pieces per person for the 100+ individuals we serve. Thank you for your generosity and support in sharing Christ’s love with our neighbors in need!

On All Saints Sunday, we remember and give thanks for the saints of every time and place — especially loved ones who have died in the past year.

You are invited to bring photos or mementos of loved ones and other favorite saints to place on the display tables beginning Sunday, October 29. During communion, all are welcome to light candles in remembrance of beloved saints.

Join us for a joyful worship service dedicated to people with intellectual or developmental disabilities, their families, caregivers, and the Saint Luke community. Rejoicing Spirits meets every fourth Sunday of the month at 4:00 p.m.

On Reformation Sunday, we remember the courage of Martin Luther and the many reformers who challenged the church to live more fully into God’s grace. This day is not just about history—it’s about God’s Spirit still reforming us today. We’ll gather in worship to celebrate the gift of faith, the call to justice, and the hope of renewal in our own time.

Saint Luke, known as a physician and companion of the Apostle Paul (Colossians 4:14), is remembered for his deep compassion and focus on Christ’s love for all—especially those who are hurting in body or spirit. On Saint Luke Sunday, we celebrate Luke’s legacy and our shared calling to bring healing and hope to others.
