Saint Luke Kids is our children’s ministry for children from birth-6th grade.
Children are celebrated and are considered invaluable members of our community. Saint Luke desires to be a place where the next generation can strengthen their relationship with God, with caring adults, and with each other.
A Place Where Kids Learn About Jesus On Their Level
The Saint Luke nursery provides a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for Saint Luke’s youngest members during both Sunday services. Nursery care is available for those 0-5 years old.
When a family drops off their children , parents are given a pager so that they may be contacted if necessary. Parents are encouraged to provide the nursery staff with any changing supplies they prefer be used, as well as a jacket during chilly weather, as children may have an opportunity to play on our outdoor playground as weather permits
The PrayGround is an area set aside in the sanctuary for those with young children, ages 0-3, where children can engage in quiet play while experiencing worship with their families. The PrayGround is perfect for families that desire to worship together, as well as for children that may be nervous being away from their family during service.
The PrayGround is available just inside the chapel. The space is located towards the back in case a parent desires a quick exit if children become fussy or loud.
Kids are always welcome in worship. During the 10:30am service children ages 3 yrs-2nd grades are invited to the front for a children’s message designed just for them! At the conclusion of the message, kids are dismissed with adult leaders to participate in Children’s Church.
Children’s Church includes stories, games, crafts and other activities. Kids are then escorted back to service to rejoin their parent(s) for communion.
Children’s Church is offered during the 10:30am service.
Christian Education Programs- Sunday Mornings
Children meet during Education Hour from 9:15-10:15am.
Every Sunday all children (babies through 6th grade) experience safe, fun, age-appropriate environments where they learn about what it means to know, love, and serve Christ. Classes are divided by age/grade. Student and adult programming are also available at this time.
Club 56 is our ministry for 5th and 6th graders, where they can connect with other students like them and learn how to navigate life and faith as preteens. Club 56 is a great place to meet new friends, learn about faith, and have fun! 5th & 6th graders have their own classes each Sunday mornings during Education Hour. Club 56 also meets twice a month on Sunday afternoons.
Saint Luke Kids offers special events through out the year. Be sure to keep an eye out for great events such as VBS, the Christmas Pageant, and the annual Bondfire.
