PASTOR MATT STANIZ

Lead Pastor

The Rev. Matt Staniz graduated with honors from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. He served as our Pastor for Youth, Family and Service for 10 years before being called as Lead Pastor in 2022. He previously served congregations in Havertown, North Philadelphia and Camden, NJ. Before becoming a pastor, he worked in youth ministry and anti-poverty efforts. Since 2009, he has been a leading faith-based advocate for ending extreme poverty with the ONE Campaign. Pastor Matt lives in Chesterbrook, along with his wife Monica and their son Michael.

 
 
 

PASTOR MYCAH MCNETT

Associate Pastor

The Rev. Mycah McNett graduated with honors in Biblical and Lutheran studies from United Lutheran Seminary. She was called as the second pastor at Saint Luke the summer of 2023. Prior to seminary, Pastor Mycah served in church communication and youth ministry roles in Harrisonburg, VA, and was an ELCA Young Adult in Global Mission participant. Since 2022 Pastor Mycah has served on the Board of Directors for Extraordinary Lutheran Ministries, and is an active member of the Proclaim Community for LGBTQIA+ Lutheran Rostered Leaders. Pastor Mycah lives in Downingtown with her spouse, Alyssa, and three cats, Minnie, Clio, and Clem.

JOHN REA

Director of Music Ministry

John was classically trained on piano, organ, and voice. He has composed hymns, anthems and musicals for the church. John began his work as a church organist/choir director in 1986 and has served congregations in Conshohocken and Audubon. Outside of church, he is the Founder and Artistic Director of MacGuffin Theatre & Film Company, a nonprofit arts-based education program. He is married to his best friend, Stacey-Kyle.

Our Council

The Council is the elected body of Saint Luke members that gives vision and strategic direction to the ministry teams, program coordinators and lay volunteers serving in their areas of responsibility.
